Utilising ICT to enhance Literacy, Numeracy, Gaeilge agus Stair Áitiúl.
CECSM2   Sorry this course is now full.

Aim/Content

To provide classroom proven digital Literacy, Numeracy, Gaeilge, General Knowledge and Local History resources to all participating teachers. See the Download section of askeabns.wordpress.com for access to a range of these digital resources.

To demonstrate to participants how to effectively use these resources. Also, there will be opportunities for participants to share their favourite ICT resources with fellow teachers.

To encourage participants to evaluate these resources with a view to adapting these programs where appropriate in their own classrooms.

By bringing teachers on field trips to excellent historical sites in the Carlow area, hopefully teachers will bring their own classes to these sites where appropriate.

By visiting these historic sites, participants will have a greater appreciation of the wonderful history of Carlow.

To encourage participants to create and share their own resources. A concrete example of this John Farrell’s  General Knowledge bank of 3,000 questions available on our school blog at askeabns.wordpress.com Download’s section.

Venue  Askea Boys NS, Askea, Carlow

Time    9.30am  to 2.00 pm daily
